Promotion Sunday August 24th

Children's ministry promotion Sunday will be held on August 24th at 9:00 a.m.  Students will moving up to their new classes on this day.  Ceremony will take place in the children's wing. 

August Reach Week August 24th - 30th

Ice-cold bottled water on a hot summer day; now that sounds refreshing!

For our August REACH Event, the Community Church is going to “hit the streets” on Saturday, August 30^th, to refresh our neighbors with FREE ice-cold bottled water.

Several teams will strategically position themselves at high-volume intersections in Waldorf to give out FREE ice-cold bottled water to motorists stopped at traffic lights.

Our goal is to REACH approximately 1000 people! You can help make this REACH Event successful in any of the following ways:

1. Buy cases of bottled water;
2. Loan us your coolers and buckets;
3. Volunteer the use of your truck/van or other large-capacity vehicle;
4. Make a monetary contribution to the REACH Week fund; or
5. Join in the fun of giving out FREE ice-cold bottles of water.

We need the cases of water, coolers, and buckets to be brought to church Sunday, August 24^th.

Individuals who volunteer their vehicles will need to pick up the water and coolers on the 24^th, take them home, and store the water in a cool place. On Friday, August 29^th, they will ice down the water in the coolers. On Saturday, August 30^th, they will bring the iced water bottles in the coolers for the REACH Event.

If you choose to support REACH Week by making a monetary contribution that will help to purchase any water or ice that is still needed.

Your safety is very important! We will be working in the medians along busy streets. We ask that only high-school aged youth and older participate in handing out the water bottles.

We will meet at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30^th, in the Waldorf Market Place parking lot, near the Safeway, on the end of the parking lot close to Starbucks. There we will form teams, go over some instructions, and disperse to assigned intersections. At 1:00 pm, the teams will return to the same parking lot to take stock and gather for some lunch at Noodles and Company.
