This Sunday Nov. 9th: Children’s Red Carpet Event!
This is an event your children won’t want to miss!  The children’s annual Red Carpet Event will be held during the 10:30 hour for K through 5th grade.  Kids should wear their favorite outfit and practice their runway walk.  We will walk the red carpet and celebrate how God made each of us special.  Be on the lookout for the paparazzi!

Sunday Nov. 16th: Church Membership Class
We will be having a Church Membership Class on Sunday November 16th from 2:00 – 6:00pm.  The class is an informal discussion with Pastor James about what it means to join a church and some specific information on The Vine Community Church.  If you are interested in attending please fill out a communication card letting us know of your interest and we will provide you with more detailed information and directions.

Friday Nov. 21st Women’s Fellowship: “Glorifying God with Our Gratitude”
with guest Speaker Judy Rossi
Preparing for the hectic holiday season and stress of family obligations which cause us to sometimes lose sight of the real meaning of the season, at this month’s Women’s Fellowship Event we will be blessed with a guest speaker, Judy Rossi (bio below), as we learn about 'Glorifying God with Our Gratitude"  centering around gratitude for the Gift God sent.  The event will be held Friday night Nov. 21st from 7:00 – 9:00pm.  Location and Directions to come.  Dessert and beverages will be served.  To RSVP or for more information please call Cynthia Kraus 301 638-3613 or Patrice McJett 301 870-0008.
 
Judy Rossi Biography Married for 34 years to John, a retired army “tanker,” Judy has been a Bible study teacher, workshop leader, and retreat speaker on the topic of marriage, parenting, and women’s issues since 1986. She’s written two books, Enhancing Your Marriage: A Woman’s Bible Study (AMG Publishers, 2004), and  Raising Responsive Children: A Bible Study for Moms (AMG Publishers, 2008). Judy and John have two daughters, Dana, married to William Marm, and Leslie, married to Jason Pratt.

Nov. Reach Week Annual Community Christmas Food Drive
The Vine Community Church will be partnering with community Social Services and other local churches/organizations in collecting food items for the Christmas Connection Food Drive.  The overall goal is to fill baskets of food for 250 families in the community who are disabled, shut-in, or in need.  Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted at the Welcome Table at church on Sunday mornings from Sunday, November 2nd until Sunday, November 30th.
