Weekly Event Update May 23
May REACH Event- May's REACH Event focuses on being a blessing to the Catherine Foundation Crisis Pregnancy Center in Waldorf. First, we will be collecting spare change to fill up plastic baby bottles available at the Welcome Table. The money will go towards helping meet some of the many needs of some mothers who choose life for their babies, even when that is not the easy choice. We will also be collecting items for a "virtual" baby shower. Items must needed include: baby toiletry items like baby wash, lotion, shampoo, and wipes, Diapers(sizes 4-5), pacifiers, clothes for both boys and girls (sizes 24mo. to 2T). We will be collect change and baby items each Sunday through Father's Day. Let's be a blessing and REACH out to those who are the most vulnerable.
Summer Life Groups- It's that time of year again when people plan their summer vacations, the kids are out of school, and we get busy doing things with family and friends but don't forget to STAY CONNECTED by becoming a part of our Sunday morning Life Groups. There is something offered for children, youth, and adults at 9:00 every Sunday morning.
For Adults:
Real Life Christianity Topic: "Gracism" Coming to grips with the magnitude of grace extended to us by Christ's death on the cross, and learning to extend that grace to others. Based on a Richard Blackaby study about Grace. Please contact catstoner@aol.com for more information.
In-Depth Bible Study Rm. 561- An in-depth discussion on the Bible, theology, and the Church and provides the opportunity to discuss Christian concepts with other believers. For more info contact papastockman@yahoo.com
These classes are open to everyone and are ideal for "drop-ins" or visitors, so we would like to encourage everyone to get involved in one of these Life Groups over the summer even if you have not attended one before.
