Art Bag Donations

Many of you donated art supplies for the children in Haiti.  During the recent visit to Haiti, The Vine mission team was able to distribute these art bags to the children.  Joy lit up their faces when they saw the many wonderful gifts that had been given to them. You blessed so many young ones, through your love, pray, and donations.  As a thank you, there were many pictures sent back from the children in Haiti that they colored or drew.  Please take time to stop by the Ministry Table to see some of this artwork.  You will be blessed.

Easter Service Announcement

During Easter Service on April 4, 2010, all preschool and elementary age children will be joining their parents in the sanctuary so that each family can enjoy the worship experience together.  A small activity bag will be provided to the children.  Nursery will be provided during that time.  Children’s 9:00 classes will be operating as normal.

Sierra Leone Bracelets

The Student Ministries are raising money to build a well in Sierra Leone.  To do this, they are selling bracelets that were hand-made from that country.  A lady, who received a micro-finance loan to start her own business, is selling them to the Student Ministries.  They are then selling them to anyone interested.  Not only are they working to raise money to build a well, but are supporting her business as well. As you know, The Vine Wesleyan Church has a strong connection with Sierra Leone and this is another great way to support that country.  The Children’s Ministry is supporting the Student Ministry in this endeavor and will have bracelets for sale at the Elementary Class Sign-In table. Please stop by and see these beautiful hand-crafted items.

Volunteers Needed

Children’s Ministry is looking for volunteers who have a heart of service and a love for children.  There are many opportunities to help in this wonderful ministry, such as Sign-In / Out coordinator, Classroom Teacher, Nursery Volunteer, Storyteller, or Small Group Leader.  If you feel God calling you to serve in this area, please contact me at (301) 848-5915 or via email.
