BABY SHOWER
Let's celebrate with one of our sisters!  A baby shower for Sarah Yaneza will be held at Lorena Long's home on Sunday, June 6th at 2:30pm.   She is having a BOY and is registered at Babies R Us.


STUFFED ANIMAL DRIVE
Our very own Sydney Monk is collecting stuffed animals (less than 12 inches long) throughout the month of June.  These stuffed animals will be delivered to the Civista Emergency Room to be given to young children who come in to be treated.   Sydney has been doing this for 4 years and started after she learned that sometimes the hospital runs out of animals to give.  She thought this was sad and decided to do something about it.  So bring in your stuffed animals and put it in one of the labeled bins by either the Elementary / Preschool Sign-in Table or Ministry Table.  Let’s help make this Sydney’s most successful year yet!!!   Children who participate in this event or the Baby Bottle Drive will earn a point on their reward chart.

CHILDRENS MINISTRY
I SCREAM! YOU SCREAM! WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!!! Join us June 18^th, at Bensville Park at 2:00 p.m. for an ICE CREAM SOCIAL!!!  We will provide the ice cream, bowls and spoons.  We ask that you bring your favorite topping to share with everyone.  PLEASE NO NUTS, as there are children in our group who have nut allergies.  This is a supervised event, so all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, for safety reasons.  Please RSVP by June 16^th with the number of those attending.  Feel free to bring friends, as this is a great way to connect others to our church.


OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY
A Bake Sale will be held during the Angel Food pick-up on June 19th from 11:30-12:00 noon.  Proceeds will support a Haiti Missions Trip.

Don't forget to pick up a baby bottle at the Ministry Table! 
Fill it with change and return it by June 20th to support the Catherine Foundation.


RENT-A-TEEN FUNDRAISER
Have house or yard work?  Need a babysitter?  Hire a Vine teenager!  Sign up at the Ministry Table.  Funds support teens going to youth camp.


CHILDRENS MINISTRY
Don’t forget to pick up a registration form for the Wesleyan District Children’s Camp scheduled for June 21-25 in Denton, MD.  There is an early bird registration incentive that you do not want to miss out on.  This camp is for children who have completed first grade through 11 years of age.  Sheets are available at the Elementary Sign-in table or call DeAnna Treadway at (301) 848-5915.   Deadline for registration is June 11.


CHURCH PICNIC
Enjoy a picnic with The Vine family on June 27^th at 1pm at our new worship area.  We will have church at North Point for the last time that morning and drive down to the New Life campus after church for everyone to have an opportunity to “scope things out”.  Sign up at the ministry table for a dish you would like to bring and share—hotdog, rolls, salad, baked beans, dessert, etc.  The church that eats together stays together!


FAMILY FUN DAY
Join us June 10^th from 10-1 at New Life Wesleyan Church for a Family Fun Day.  This is an alternative to Vacation Bible School this year.  There will be lots of fun things for children to do and see including Professional Entertainers, games and lunch.  This is a wonderful evangelistic opportunity, so invite all your friends to join you!  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Because we are participating, we would like to help with the event as well.  If you are interested in volunteering during part or all of the event, please contact DeAnna Treadway or Michelle Holter, Director of Children’s Ministry at New Life Wesleyan Church (mholter@newlifelaplata.org or 301-609-8423).
