FIRST FRIDAYS: A Children of the Vine Connection Event
Date: September 3, 2010 Time: 7:00-8:30 pm
OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY
Children's Ministry Service Project- "Snack Attack"
From now until the end of September, we will be collecting individually-wrapped snacks
for the Good News Bible Club, an evangelical outreach at Wade Elementary School led by Jennifer Decker.
This program presents the Gospel of Christ to elementary age students after school on Wednesday of each school week.
Between 75 and 100 students participate in the program and are provided
with an after school snack, a Bible Story, and a craft.
What a great way to reach the residents of Waldorf!!!
WOMEN OF THE VINE
"Mugging" Event
September 18th 10AM-Noon
$7 per person at Old Country Buffet in Waldorf
Please bring a mug to exchange with a prayer partner
(**CORRECTION** Please bring a cleaning supply to donate to the Hughesville Women's Shelter,
toiletry items are not needed at this time.)
ANGELFOOD
Orders are due September 14th!!
Pick-up will be September 18th from 11:30 to Noon at Davis Middle School.
WORK DAY AT THE VINE
Our next two work days will be September 25th and October 30th!
Please continue to clean out your closets, basements, and attics for the yard sale.
We encourage you to donate any large items, such as furniture.
We will also need volunteers for the yard sale, as well as donations for the bake sale and lemonade stand.
CHURCH DINNER
Please joing us for a "Back To School" church dinner,
immediately following service on September 19th.
Everyone is welcome!
Please sign up to bring a dish that corresponds to a letter of the alphabet!
Sign up list can be found at the welcome table on Sunday morning.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BBQ BASH
Bring your favorite side dish or dessert (we'll supply hot dogs and buns) and enjoy an evening of with
friends and family as we celebrate a new year of school. There will also be a few family-friendly competitions to see who can actually define things like inculcation, proselytism, and pedagogy. Say that three times fast!
