LOVE OFFERING
Bryan Joyner has been an intern with The Vine since June.
He will bring the message to us again this Sunday, October 31st.
In your bulletins this weekend, you will find envelopes to bless Bryan with a financial gift
to say, “Thank You!” for all his hard work & dedication to our church family & the community!

FIRST FRIDAYS: A CHILDREN OF THE VINE CONNECTION EVENT
"Be Thankful"
With the busy holiday season upon us, it is nice to take time to focus on someone else's needs.
Join us as we reflect on blessings we are thankful for and pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child,
passing our blessings along to others. Bring a shoebox and any of the designated items below to be packed in the boxes.
GIFT IDEAS
OUR FOCUS-AGE 5-9 BOYS AND GIRLS
small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes,
small Etch A Sketch®, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets,
writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.
HYGIENE ITEMS
toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
OTHER
Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts,
socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)
A PERSONAL NOTE
In a separate envelope, you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family.
(If you include your name and address, the child may write back.)
Each box packed must include $7 for postage. If you are unable to attend the First Fridays Event,
get involved by making a donation towards postage for the boxes.
Let us do the shopping for you. Make a donation in your child's class or in the

chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins;
breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
